Save The World, And Your Money

Save The World, And Your Money

If you are looking for an amazing way to appreciate our planet while spending little to no money, be sure to take advantage of the upcoming Earth Day! Every April 22nd since 1970, countries around the world have recognized Earth Day as a holiday to honor the breathtaking planet we live on. There are tons of activities that you and your community can partake in to both conserve and appreciate the environment (and animals) that make up the world around us. Here is a list of things to get you going!

Plant A Garden

An amazing way to help grow our ecosystem is to plant a garden or even a tree! By adding these plants to our environment, we help both the climate as well as the animals that live amongst us!

Take Photos And Create An Album

Whether you are hiking, walking around the neighborhood, or even sitting in your backyard nature is all around us. Take out your camera and snap a few photos and create an album that you can share with your friends and family.

Go On A Hike

Nothing screams “Earth Day” more than getting deep into nature. Pick a destination, near or far, and start roaming. Don’t forget to breathe in the fresh air and soak in our Mother Nature.

Take A Camping Trip

If you’re the outdoorsy type, plan a camping trip! Take a day or two living amongst the earth and take it all in. While you’re out there, do some exploring and try to pick up any trash you see while on your adventure. Don’t forget to pack up everything that you bring and remember to try and leave the place better than you found it!

Plan A Picnic

Picnics are an easy way to get outside, even for a short while. Take a blanket, a basket, your friends and family, and some food for a relaxing afternoon in the sun. If you live by the beach, take it down to water and listen to those crashing waves while you snack!

Go On A Long Walk And Bring Your Pets

Earth Day is for our pets too! Be sure to celebrate our furry friends by taking them on a nice long walk and playing with them outside. Although they are part of the family, they are earth’s animals too!

Volunteer With An Environmental Group

If you are interested in helping make a difference, take a look online to see if there are any volunteer opportunities for you to get involved in. Take a peek here and see if there is something going on in your area.

Don’t Feel Like Going Outside?

If you aren’t into nature but want to help, there are a few things that you can do from the comfort of your own home; leave the lights off all day and night and have a romantic candlelit evening at home, watch a cool nature inspired documentary, or even calculate your carbon footprint online and start making a change for the good! You can calculate it here.

There are tons of ways to appreciate and even help the environment that don’t require any spending, and remember that if you are struggling with financial hardship, reach out to us today at help@madisonandmonroe.com or (877) 346-2797.
