Affordable and Covid-Friendly Date Night Ideas

Although it's finally 2021, many parts of America (or at least the really fun parts) are still shut down. With no places to go, it may be quite some time since you and your partner had a real date night. But love conquers all! Even Covid-19! We've gathered some ideas for amazing and affordable date nights that are winter and wallet friendly.

Picnic With Your Partner. Picnics are just the best! If you are blessed to live in a sunny state, earn your picnic by hiking to the top of a mountain or to a serene nature local. If weather doesn't permit outdoor adventuring, no worries! because it's storming outside doesn't mean you can't have a delightful and romantic afternoon picnic! Spread out a blanket, pack a basket full of goodies, and set up on the floor of your living room. The cloud gazing is less than ideal but at least you don't have to worry about ants!

Snow Day with Your Sweetheart. Bring back the joy of snow from your youth with a good old fashioned Snow Day! Build a snowman, sled down a neighborhood hill, and square off in a proper snowball fight. Finish your day off with some hot chocolate and snuggling up in front of the fireplace.

Drive in Movie with Your Darling. While conventional movie theatres might still be closed, Drive ‐ In Theatres are making a comeback! Go old school and catch a double feature while you cuddle up with your boo. The best part? You can bring all your favorite snacks and not pay movie theatre prices for popcorn!

Cook Off With Your Casanova. Got a competitive streak? Plan a showdown in the kitchen as you and your honey prepare an elaborate meal and try to out-do the other. Get inspired by putting on your favorite cooking show or even implement a challenge like in Top Chef. It'll be fun, funny, and hopefully delicious.

Dog Walk With Your Dollface. If you already have a furry friend, take a long stroll and explore the neighborhood you live in. If not, ask a friend or family member if you can take their pup out for an afternoon. It'll add a little spice to a simple stroll and the dog owner will probably appreciate it.

Wine Taste With Your Wifey. Feelin fancy? Organize a little wine tasting you can do at home! There are some pretty fabulous kits available online and you can even sign up for an interactive zoom tasting. Or grab some of your favorite bottles and challenge yourselves to a blind tasting. It's even more fun if you and your boo don't know a thing about wine and just enjoy getting a little sauced and silly.

The world may feel a pretty stressful right now, but remember that your partner is there for you and you can keep that spark alive with just a little extra effort. Make time to kick back and enjoy eachothers company! If you're in need of a financial partner to assist with debt settlement, remember that Madison Monroe & Associates is here to advise and assist. Don't hesitate to reach out.
