Fun & Frugal Holiday Activities

Even though many of us get a vacation from work, the Holidays can be one of the busiest times of the year. Spending quality time with family and friends is essential, but even with that Christmas bonus – back to back activities can be quite expensive. We’ve got some fun suggestions for Holiday cheer that won’t set you back too far for 2022.

Christmas Movies - For the low low price of renting a classic and a bowl of popcorn, you can celebrate the American tradition of watching a Holiday movie with the family. There are so many good ones to choose from! It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, Home Alone, White Christmas! Take your pick and snuggle up for an adorable and affordable evening in.

Join A Community Event - This time of year, many cities and towns celebrate with dance recitals, choral performances, or tree lighting ceremonies. There is rarely a ticket cost and often free cookies and cocoa! Dress up for a fun evening out with your loved ones and reconnect with your neighbors and community at the same time.

Make Christmas Cards - Not only will this activity keep your kids occupied for a few hours, but you’ll save on store-bought cards and be able to send relatives a heartfelt memento that they will treasure. If you’re low on craft supplies, get creative and use things from around the house to make truly unique works of art.

Host a Hot Cocoa Bar – This is an exciting event you can use as a way to host friends and family without shelling out for an entire dinner. Simply stock up on plenty of cocoa toppings and let everyone go nuts! Turn up the Christmas tunes and let the Holiday cheer commence.

Remember that getting together with those you love is more important than the price tag on your feast.
